History

1896 Alholma sawmill was set up by Wilhelm Schauman
1960 Alholma sawmill and Pietarsaaren Selluloosa Oy merged into Wilhelm Schauman AB
1987 Schauman merged into Kymmene -Group
1990 Alholma was renamed Wisatimber
1996 Wisatimber became part of Yhtyneet Sahat Oy (United Sawmills) after the merger of Repola and Kymmene
2001 The mill was renamed Alholma Sawmill and Planing
2004 UPM-Kymmene Wood Oy
2007 The business operations of UPM-Kymmene Wood Oy were divided into the sawmilling business and the plywood business. The sawmilling business was incorporated into the UPM-Kymmene Corporation.
